Singapore-incorporated Luzhou Bio-chem Technology Limited (“Luzhou”) was established pursuant to a restructuring exercise of the Shandong Luzhou Food Group Co., Ltd in 2005. Under this new group structure, Luzhou Bio-chem Technology Limited is now a holding company of three principal operating subsidiaries – Luzhou Bio-chem Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd., Luzhou Bio-chem Technology (Liaoning) Co., Ltd. and Luzhou Bio-chem Technology (Shaanxi) Co., Ltd. Luzhou Bio-chem Technology (Shandong) Co., Ltd. also operates a branch office in Xiping County, Henan Province.

Presently, based on the statistics by the China Food Industry Association on the sweetener industry, Luzhou has approximately 30% share of the domestic market in the production of sweeteners, and approximately 40% share of the domestic market in the export of sweeteners. The company is certified under various international quality standard, including ISO9001, ISO14001 and HACCP. It has also been awarded the Star-K Kosher and Halal certificates.

As testimony to the Group's achievements, Luzhou has received numerous awards and accolades, such as being named amongst the Top 20 Largest China Starch Industry Enterprise, Agriculture Industry Key Flagship Company, Top 100 Food Processing Enterprise, ‘A' Grade Green Food certification, Key Flagship Food Company of National Food Industry, New and High-Tech Enterprise, as well as winning the National Large-scale Agricultural Products Circulating and Processing Enterprise. In November 2004, we were recognised as a Starch Sugar Quality Test Centre by the China Fermentation Industry Association. Our production methods for both IMO900 high-purity Isomalto-oligosaccharide syrup and deoxidised sugar were awarded the Science and Technology Result Identification. In March 2003, we were also recognised as “The Centre of Enterprise Technology Recognised by Shandong Province ” by the Shandong Economic & Trade Commission.

Employing enzyme technology, we produce corn starch, by-products and a wide range of corn bioproducts, which includes high maltose syrup, glucose, maltose syrup for beer, high fructose syrup, isomalto-oligosaccharide, maltodextrin, milk essences, meal fibre and high-protein animal feeds. Presently, Luzhou has an annual production capacity of 510,000 tonnes of sweeteners and 440,000 tonnes of corn starch. When the Xiping production facility in Henan Province puts into production, the annual production capacity will be increased to 650,000 tonnes of sweeteners and 560,000 tonnes of corn starch.
